Absenteeism and prevention

Preventing and managing absenteeism: a major challenge for companies

Absenteeism, which has been exacerbated since the health crisis, has a direct impact on companies’ performances. It is a major economic and social issue.  If companies are to rein in absenteeism and mitigate its effects, they must first identify and understand its root causes so that they can take the appropriate action.

The health crisis, lockdown, working from home and the feeling of isolation that many workers experienced have highlighted new sources of absenteeism. Whatever these causes, its economic consequences on the company’s direct and indirect costs are clear. Companies therefore need to ask themselves various questions to uncover the root causes and bring in the right solutions. But to do so, they must have support and guidance. This is where Verlingue steps in!

Verlingue’s solutions

01
Gain a clear view of absenteeism in your company

Verlingue has developed an exclusive and very efficient approach that compiles the data from your electronic payroll reporting statement (DSN) into a report that includes 80 indicators, such as the annual financial cost (direct and indirect) of your absenteeism. This consolidated processing of your data gives you an accurate, year-round picture of absenteeism in your company, along with an internal reference base that you can use to track trends in your workforce and your employees’ absences over several years.

02
Receive help with drawing up a diagnosis

Our experts analyse this result to diagnose your company’s absenteeism and compare it with data from other companies. By analysing the data provided by our customers, which represented over 460,000 employees in 2021, we can compare your data and put it into perspective with that of your industry sector, while consistently upholding the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).  To round out the diagnosis, we can perform a qualitative analysis of data obtained by analysing a workplace health survey (QST).

03
Tailored actions for a pertinent prevention strategy

It is crucial to have an outside view so that nothing is overlooked. We owe this objectivity to our 10 years of expertise in managing absenteeism in companies. Now, we are making this expertise available to you to construct a corrective action plan and a prevention strategy. We draw on a network of partners covering all the issues that may arise (mental health, workplace safety, management and productivity, well-being, disability and inclusion). Verlingue brings you pertinent initiatives so that you can introduce the right solutions.
